Join the Flock

Mark St Jean manages the Join the Flock mailing list. When you sign up, we collect your first name, last name, email address, and a dated record of your consent to receive marketing emails about Trials in Flight, the Wildlife Literacy Project, and author news and events.

How your information is used

Subscriber records are stored in the website’s hosted database and accessible through an owner-only management page. Mark can export the list to manage email communications. We do not sell subscriber information or automatically combine it with other mailing lists.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe using the personal link in a marketing email or contact Mstjean46@gmail.com to request removal, correction, or deletion. Unsubscribed addresses and consent records are retained to respect your choice and document permission unless deletion is requested.

Security and service providers

The website uses ChatGPT Sites and Cloudflare hosting and database services. Access to subscriber management requires the owner’s authenticated account. To limit automated signup abuse, the site temporarily stores a hashed network identifier and attempt count with a two-hour expiry, cleared on subsequent submissions. Security controls reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Invite Mark booking inquiries

When you send an invitation, we collect your contact name, organization or podcast name, email, requested appearance type, preferred timeframe, format, location, and message. We record when you submit the inquiry and acknowledge use of your details to respond.

These details are stored privately in the website database and sent through the existing Resend email service to Mark’s notification inbox. Mark uses them to review and respond to your invitation. Submitting an inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails, reserve a date, or confirm a booking. No inquiry information is displayed publicly.

Mark retains inquiries for correspondence and event planning. Contact Mstjean46@gmail.com to request correction or deletion. To limit spam, the site temporarily stores a hashed network identifier and attempt count with a two-hour expiry, cleared on subsequent submissions.

This policy covers the native Join the Flock signup and Invite Mark inquiry form. Separate services, including retailer and checkout websites and the unchanged Tertulia signup, have their own privacy policies.
